The two trails which appear to end abruptly to the west of this marker don't. They actually connect to form a loop. The northern segment heads WNW and then turns south roughly where Paper Mill road curves from due E to WNW. It then parallels the eastern side of this penninsula, headed toward the sharp point at SE corner, before turning W and meandering to meet the southern part of the trail. There is also a spur trail -- well-used and easy -- that has one end on this loop's most SE point and one end at the very point of that SE projection.
