| 130863758 | almost 3 years ago | Hello, Again, Clayton North is not a gazetted suburb or locality, and should not be tagged as such. I have reverted your change which introduces errors to the map. Dian

| 130848125 | almost 3 years ago | Hi Stevo, Firstly, apologies for the problems introduced with the bus routes in Maiden Gully. iD isn't great with relations. I am aware of the restrictions to driving over painted traffic islands in Victoria. However, these painted traffic islands do not constitute a physical barrier and the ways should remain combined. osm.wiki/Dual_carriageway The traffic island tag can be used to indicate the presence of traffic islands, and the change, turn, and placement keys allow for the specification of lanes and their nature. I'm not aware of routing software that would offer a u-turn on a single carriageway road; do you have an example you would be able to share? Only mapping ways as separate when there is physical separation is a well established editing convention, both locally and globally, that is fundamental to the way roads are represented in OSM. I'd encourage you to engage with either the mailing list, discord, or community page for more information as to why this consensus exists. |
| 130848125 | almost 3 years ago | Hi Stevo, In this edit, I can see that you have split the Calder Highway into a dual carriageway in several sections. Roads should only be split into separate carriageways if there is physical separation - such as a physical barrier or median. These changes should be reverted as they make the map less accurate and make lane mapping more difficult. Dian

| 130837753 | almost 3 years ago | Hello, Clayton North is not a gazetted suburb or locality, and should not be tagged as such. I have adjusted removed the boundary and replaced Clayton North suburb with a "neighbourhood" node, consistent with official sources. Regards,

| 130767955 | almost 3 years ago | Hi Andre Bacon, If I understand the wikipedia article about Toki Pona correctly, this is a constructed language with no native users? A similar edit introducing Klingon names for countries was not well received; would you be able to explain where these translations come from and what they are used for? |

| 130766994 | almost 3 years ago | Hi Skipperoo. In this section of Princes Highway, the roads are also known as Dandenong Road. According to the Australian Tagging Guidelines (osm.wiki/Australian_Tagging_Guidelines/Roads#Dual_Road_Naming), it's best to use the local name (as used for addressing) as the primary name, and put the larger name as the Alternate name.
