etajin: But it's never going to be labelled (on the ground) as "ヴォログダ", therefore it shouldn't really be tagged as such. The place node/relation maybe, but nothing else.

As had been said by other members of the DWG, osm is not the place to store transliterations.
A name should only ever be added to osm, if that place actually has that name.
If you want a local transliteration, then the data user can do that itself.
Do not make up translated data just because it looks good.
Map what is on the ground.
Anything else does not belong in osm.

FYI, we don't put transliterated names into osm.
Names in other languages should only ever be entered if that object is truly known by that name, in that language.
Please see this page for more details: osm.wiki/Names#Avoid_transliteration

Hello and welcome to OSM.
Can I assume you're editing as part of a class?
Note that OSM relies on a set of tags, and there are some especially for buildings and addresses which will help it show up correctly.
You seem to have added the address as a node in the middle rather than the house itself?
You may want to check out osm.wiki/Buildings and osm.wiki/Addresses

Thank you :)

I see you've added the house name in the house number box?
You may want to check out osm.wiki/Addresses

Thank you :)

It should be reverted and possibly a note or fixme added with "can someone clarify what this is?"
As mentioned, while the current value may be nonsensical to you, it did to the original editor and requires a survey to verify, NOT just an armchair blanket change.

Hello, can you explain way/342473921?
It's an area with a name and no other information.
Thanks.

Thank you for your contributions, but you also changed a lot of service roads into residential roads.
Please be careful to select appropriate tags and make sure you only change what you mean to.
Thanks.

I know it can be hard to verify data you upload, but you may want to check that you're not marking major trunk roads as a dirt surface :)
I've now corrected a few segments that were causing routing oddities.

You've also created the Tesco store node next to an existing Tesco shop.

Welcome to OSM and that's a great first edit, thanks.
You've also created a relation which is normally used for grouping related objects together with some details. Was this deliberate? If not, I would recommend deleting it as obsolete. Thanks

Is there a source for these deleted shops?, and is that tree really an entire park now?

PmaiIkeey: As per your description of "I want OSM to reflect the truth and not some arbitrary hypothetical map!"? I fully agree, and it's already gone.

30165853 over 10 years ago

But it doesn't physically exist, so should be reverted as per your (now removed) description.

Is this some "arbitrary hypothetical" sandbox or is this the truth?

Can you confirm if this number was acquired by a survey or some other means?

Welcome to the OSM project. I see you created a new node near a road but didn't add any data (tags) to it.
Did you mean to add more data?
