Please don't delete valid railway stations. (different codes)

Please don't remove valid tags (station=subway)

Hi
Please don't add the conflicting landuse tag to golf features. It's meant to be used as a stand-alone tag not a sub/adjective tag, Surface is the correct one to use.

landuse=grass

Hi
Welcome to OSM.
All UK railway stations are mapped as nodes.
node/5077066091#map=19/52.88819/-4.41616

This building should be tagged as a train_station.

Hi
I note you didn't contact iccaldwell to ask why another primary tag, 'landuse' had erroneously been added to primary tag, 'leisure'. They conflict each other.

landuse=grass

leisure=common.
Half of this page discusses what's wrong with the tag & the main paragraph says how to tag it differently.

JOSM flags leisure=common as a error in it's validation process.

If the software you use is unable to cope with your expectations, may I suggest you contact the developers, or use other programs which allows it to function as you wish.
This is a routine I use, which you may find useful:

I contest it's not a "big edit". It's knowingly & intentionally kept within a single country. It neither crosses borders, oceans or continents.

Even as an Englishman I consider 'common' & 'village green' too quaint for OSM.

Hi
You've tag a few waterway=yes in this area. Any idea what type they are it would be great if you could get them to render.

Hi
natural=grass is depreciated.
For meadows would surface or crop be better?
natural=*

'Recreation ground' tag makes no implication of accessibility.
'sport=multi' can be added to 'recreation ground' so show that many different sports are played on individual pitches.

As, by your own admittance, "The markings change throughout the year" shows that it not a pitch.

From the 'pitch' wiki page: "Pitches may be contained within a larger recreation_ground,"

A "multiple sports pitch" is for sports played within the *same* white line boundary, as noted.

leisure=pitch#Multi-sport_pitch

So what if "amenity=school doesn’t mention recreation ground anywhere"? It doesn't mean they can't be added.

The recreation ground’s page makes no mention of it being "publicly accessible". In fact it states the opposite.

Children playing sport is "general recreation".

not "having any forms of playground equipment within their borders" is irrelevant.

Given the close association of other leisures features such as pitch
park, playground, sports_centre, fitness_dtation, seating, dog park etc I firmly believe it should be tagged as leisure. leisure=recreation_ground renders on OSM-Carto

White line pitches "from different times of the year" can all be mapped, even if they overlap, such as cricket & football pitches.

None of your arguments prove your point.

Hi
way/1074843285
Please don't attached polygon ways to highways. Highways represent the infinitesimally narrow centreline of the road. Always set the polygons back to their boundary at the side of the road.

Imagine you wanted to add a gate to the meadow, it would mean you mapped it on the actual road, which of course isn't how it is in the real world.

Hi

What pitch is that size & shape.
Pitches are for individual sports contained within white lines.
This is a recreation ground.

Hi
"Modified the tags for the landuse polygon #tomtom"

Could you clarify what lead you to duplicate the surface tag by adding landuse. Was the a validator in JOSM or TomTom prompting you?

Hi
Why have you deleted valid roller_coaster=track ways & replaced them with erroneous railway tags?

106476175 over 3 years ago

It's an attraction, not a railway.

This is neither a railway or a route.

A bridge tag is for objects that span over other objects.

This appears to be more a raised area,of solid ground.
I would tag using landuse=railway (is all of the polygon used/owned by a railway company?)
I would add level=1 to any items within the polygon and layer=X to those that are passing over other objects.

Hi
There was a recent discussion on this subject on the tagging forum:

https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/tagging/2022-June/064808.html

Including my own opinion:

https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/tagging/2022-June/064829.html

"consider adding it, see..." means refer to the documentation to determine which is the more accurate tag to use, not add both. They are mutually exclusive.

"In such cases usual tagging is to add just leisure=park" < This is poor advice & requires amending.

I've provided a map of your edits for you to revert:
