I've tagged them as building=train_station
building=train_station

In OSM there's can only be one railway=station but multiple buildings.

Hi
These are not railway stations. Stations are already mapped.

Why did you do this?

Hi
Welcome to OSM
Could you please use the 'prow_ref' tag instead of 'name'.

But you clearly didn't map a sports pitch, for the reasons set out in my first reply.

128188547 about 3 years ago

I genuinely don't understand your last post.

The solution is for you to add a sports pitch, if you wish. It would take a fraction of the time you spent typing your comments.

128188547 about 3 years ago

..And I've been correcting those which have been mapped this way.

As my changeset comment sets out, I'm changing areas which have incorrectly been mapped as pitches & converting them to recreation grounds. If you wish to add an accurately define pitch area, then please feel free to do so.

I've correct hundreds of these errors over the last few years. If I contacted every individual, I'd never get any updates done.
I've not deleted any of your edit, just changed a tag from one type of entity to another.

It's not "made the database less accurate" for the reasons already stated.

That's a weird shape for a cricket *pitch*
Cricket pitches do not include nets, screens, wicket covers, pavilions, car parks etc

A cricket pitch is defined by the boundary rope.
I believe I've made the database more accurate.

Hi

Is this definitely a cricket pitch?
Strange shape, small, rough grass.

Why have you split a public footpath leaving an undesignated section:
way/841354437

What OSMI rule flagged it as a problem?

127871168 about 3 years ago

"desire line" is not a valid path name.

Hi
Could you please use prow_ref tag instead of name.
Also add designation=public_footpath

designation=public_footpath

Bullet points, in no particular order:

It's still not 100% clear what "stop" and "node" is. Is it referring to a railway station? Shouldn't SC be selecting the platforms & providing you with the unique id?

If you've been there to survey it, won't you know which platform your editing?

How do you deal with all those that haven't had a name tag added?

Can't you click on the track adjacent to the platform to obtain the data you require?

Railway station/line/track/destination information does not belong on platform name tags.

There's a fair argument to say platforms don't have genuine names, just references.

Fudging information into the name tags to sort other shortcomings elsewhere is not the correct solution.

Isn't that what PTv2 was conceived for?

Adding the unnecessary gumpf either prevents labels from rendering or obscures adjacent data.

You're unclear as to to what your streecomplete problem was. Could you expand?

127496453 about 3 years ago

Hi
There is already a railway station. Please don't duplicate.

127472122 about 3 years ago

Hi
To check is it definitely asphalt? Last time I rode it it was a combination of gravel and compact.

127422121 about 3 years ago

Hi
But you haven't changed it to a correct tag.
You amended it to an irrelevant tag just to stop it appearing as an error in OSMose.
This doesn't improve the quality of the OSM database.
