As, by your own admittance, "The markings change throughout the year" shows that it not a pitch. From the 'pitch' wiki page: "Pitches may be contained within a larger recreation_ground," A "multiple sports pitch" is for sports played within the *same* white line boundary, as noted. leisure=pitch#Multi-sport_pitch So what if "amenity=school doesn’t mention recreation ground anywhere"? It doesn't mean they can't be added. The recreation ground’s page makes no mention of it being "publicly accessible". In fact it states the opposite. Children playing sport is "general recreation". not "having any forms of playground equipment within their borders" is irrelevant. Given the close association of other leisures features such as pitch
White line pitches "from different times of the year" can all be mapped, even if they overlap, such as cricket & football pitches. None of your arguments prove your point. |

Imagine you wanted to add a gate to the meadow, it would mean you mapped it on the actual road, which of course isn't how it is in the real world. |

Could you clarify what lead you to duplicate the surface tag by adding landuse. Was the a validator in JOSM or TomTom prompting you? |

| 106476175 | over 3 years ago | It's an attraction, not a railway. |
| 121269784 | over 3 years ago | This is neither a railway or a route.

| 122840511 | over 3 years ago | A bridge tag is for objects that span over other objects. This appears to be more a raised area,of solid ground.

https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/tagging/2022-June/064808.html Including my own opinion: https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/tagging/2022-June/064829.html "consider adding it, see..." means refer to the documentation to determine which is the more accurate tag to use, not add both. They are mutually exclusive. "In such cases usual tagging is to add just leisure=park" < This is poor advice & requires amending. I've provided a map of your edits for you to revert:

They are two different types of objects. They are mutually exclusive. Is maproulette or your editor suggesting you add both tags or did you just decide yourself? For the existing objects, what was the original tag? Have you only added recreation ground to existing parks? |
