Dorchester St is accurate enough in relation to adjacent OSM buildings.
Unsure how much it's used but:
There is only one east bound bus stop & it was clearly nearer to Dorchester St than the car park entrance roads. I'm surprised your software uses service roads, at least before checking they actually go somewhere & not double back or terminate in a cul-de-sac. How many routes use highway=service? Why would a road name prevent tracking? Moving a road to make it less accurate is not the solution. Adding parking bay "mini-roads" could be worthwhile addition, but don't buses often swap bays when their default one is in use? Wouldn't maintaining route relations solve all of your problems? Cheers

| 68618492 | over 6 years ago | Hi I could add them but I'm reluctant to add data which isn't really necessary. Talk-transit has discussed their existence & the conclusion is they need to be, at least, simplified, if not removed altogether. Could you provide an explanation of why they're required & a real world example where they benefit OSM data users? PTv2 appears to be vastly overcomplicated & unnecessary, especially with the rail network where the /vast/ majority of tags are just duplicating existing, well populated, well used tags. |

| 68456906 | over 6 years ago | @joleus Thank you for deleting the node. If you've a photo of the dam upload it to your favourite site & post a link here. As you are the one who supposedly has knowledge of 'Bunksurfing' etc it is up to you to amend the database to make it as accurate as possible. How do you have this knowledge? Have you been there? I ask this question as you mention Google. If you mean Google maps, please be aware it is copyrighted & not a valid source to add data to OSM. |
| 68456906 | almost 7 years ago | If the dam exists it's not a ruin. Can you provide evidence that it exists? I can only find a 'Banksurfing' hostel. Ifthat doesn't exist, please delete it. if it's in the wrong location please move it. Adding another node in a random location, as you've done, doesn't solve anything. Two wrongs don't make a right. OSM is "a life line" for many users, not just maps.me, which is why it's database accuracy is so important. Please ensure you add only verified data in the most accurate locations possible. |
| 68456906 | almost 7 years ago | @Joelius Adding nodes is not the way to indicate something is incorrect. Please use 'notes': osm.wiki/Notes
I can see no evidence of a dam that is a tourist attraction. Do you have a web site which mentions it? If the Dam is closed, then it's not a tourist attraction. |
| 68456906 | almost 7 years ago | Then why did you add it?!
|
| 68456906 | almost 7 years ago | Is that's its name?
