Submarine gave me permission to add there defib data set into OSM.
https://api.submarine.gg/DefibLocator/Locations.json

Could do with a bit of clean up for exact locations and more contextual location descriptions.

Hello, what is "DfT Gazeteer" and what is it licensed as?

Hey, just so you know, you damaged a lot of names in this changeset. e.g. "Dunkery Road Post Office" = > "Post Office".

I'm trying to fix this in NSI so it doesn't happen again. https://github.com/osmlab/name-suggestion-index/pull/4384

Looking at the history Vespucci automatically edits the relations to remove the nodes I deleted, so I don't think I broke it any more than it was already was :P

I was deleting bus stops along Manor Road, Lea Road and New Road I don't know when the bus route changed but there are no stops along that way. It seems I also added some power=substation in the same changeset.

What do you use to visualise these bus relations? Honestly I've been neglecting them a bit because I didn't think they were used anywhere.

I'll read the wiki about bus relations and see what I can do, I'm happy to cycle it all for any surveying needed, it doesn't seem that long.

Interestingly enough you can use Island Buses. https://www.islandbuses.info/open-data It's OGLv3. You can also use NaPTAN, but it may be a bit older, and harder to work with.

Thanks, I've fixed the cycleway and added turn restrictions so only bikes should be directed to turn left from Victoria Road South, and nothing can turn right.

I'd like a review as this is my first turn restrictions.

Poorly tagged and seems to be a home office anyway, doubt it belongs in OSM anyway without the copyright issues.

Hey, thanks for this.

Do you know if there is a cycle path along this Stafford Road?

Is this an actual place?

Why do you keep commenting on the neighbours? What has it got to do with the neighbours if someone starts a business?

> 'Licensed Adult Shop' displayed on them.

Your example just says "private". As does the one I checked. I can't verify either is an adult shop, just local knowledge. Are we to assume every shop with fascia saying "Private" is an adult shop?

> Mappers going out exploring is what sets us apart from other maps.

Any yet, Google has survivors, OS has survivors, Apple has survivors. What sets OSM apart is the licence and the community, and I would argue the licence made the community.

I'm stopping now, you can just delete it.

> verifiable business
How does OSM map adult shops? They are often banned from having any window decoration/don't have any fascia. Are they excluded from OSM?

I think it's a beauty shop, by appointment only. It probably doesn't have any fascia, and I don't think that should exclude it from OSM.

> any other domestic dwelling

This doesn't seem to be domestic, everything points to it being commercial.

> expect to pass Cosmetology Hub

We have no information it say it isn't signed, and there is a fix me for mappers.

> Notes like this should not be acted upon
until they have been verified.

I disagree, that not only extend the divide in map quality between areas that a few heavily active mappers live, and the rest of the world.
It also create an incredibly poor experience for people who think they should be listed on osm, so they go to onosm.org (an incredibly official looking website). Fill out there details, get a "Thank you" message, then are never added to the map. These note are often in OSM for years, often multiple notes in the same area as the business owner has tried multiple times. That is a bad experience, and it is embarrassing.

OSM is a map, and if somebody looks for directions to "Cosmetology Hub" and doesn't find it they will be disappointed/use another map.

Maybe using `shop=beauty` is wrong?

87243345 over 5 years ago

The website given describes this as a "boutique studio", that sounds like customers come here. So I would argue it does belong in OSM.
It's probably more of a living room type situation, and only open by appointment, but that is pure speculation I don't have a source for that.

Hey, can you just confirm that this name has actually changed on the bus stop? We try to map the world as it is, not as it will be once they finally update the name.

In this case we don't want a user on the bus waiting for the stop "Rosie Lea", but the announcement says "Hobler Inn" so they miss there stop.

Hey, I've undone this edit as the "ref" on a postbox isn't meant to be the postcode. The postbox it's self should say the ref, and it helps us know if we've got them all mapped in OSM.

Welcome by the way.

@SomeoneElse What's the correct way to map bicycle_parking? Presumably the one you linked should be operator=Tesco Express not name=Tesco Express
