I have a query about changing the railway from Fife Circle to Edinburgh-Aberdeen Lines. In many ways both would be correct But I think that FIfe circle line is the more common name for this part of line line, for example it's listed here: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/46418.aspx - but happy to be convinced otherwise?

I'm more curious about the change of Cessnock to a Town, as it's within Glasgow this isn't the case, as far as we tag in OpenStreetMap, however is neighbourhood to small a classification in which case suburb may be appropriate?

You edit itself is great!

However, sometime rather than completely removing the closed branch we often just remove the name and amenity, keeping the point on the map. The advantage of this is that hopefully when someone new moves into the building the point can get the new name and use.

So for the moment, I've restored it and removed the use and name and added the address.

This building and car park is currently closed, due to the building being rebuilt. What is your source for these changes? Also the bus stop move is completly in the wrong direction.

Hi - I just want to check what is your source for these edits?

I note on that same page it says: . "Do not alter your mapping to accommodate such routers. " - this applies to road areas as much as Service. For now I suggest that we revert this set of changes and start again on them? Sticking to genuine issues and not removing vast amounts of mapping. If routers are having problems with highway areas then perhaps they should just ignore them or fix their code.

So looking at the history, it looks like the fence ran up to (and shared a node) with the road, but didn't cross the road. So would be fine.

It also looks like you completely removed the playground? What was this based on?

I actually think that highway=service area=yes is fine for the yards even if it's an uncommon use; it does seem appropriate. But I would be happy to look at considering other tagging options for these, if you have a better suggestion?

Thanks - looks okay to me. There may have been a delay with the re-rendering. Dotted lines may be tracks/or paths or possibly access tags (private). There is a osm.wiki/LinesTab which has the key.

Thanks for getting back, we have a regular pub meet last night and had a chat about this yesterday evening. I think that on balance highway=pedestrian is still appropriate here. I wouldn't worry about the highway tag here. It just indicates a paved pedestrian area which is correct. place=square

Also if you're in the area - I think that the People's Palace is now closed? So I also guess that the cafe/restaurant is also shut?

Cheers - that's a problem with the game; and not OpenStreetMap. I would ask Niantic to be a bit smarter rather than changing good data in OSM.

What's the logic of removing highway area's?
