over 7 years ago | Why did you remove the address?
over 7 years ago | Thanks great to know - so these are cases where their probably are service roads going around the building (from imagery) but if you don't have drivers traces to verify this with then you won't add the roads, thank you for yhe detailed response.
| 62306277 | over 7 years ago | Hi Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Is see that you requested a review of these edits, and I just wanted to let you know that they look great. Please let me know if you have any questions. Cheers

over 7 years ago | Hi Welcome to OpenStreetMap; I have a small question about the 2 hotels you've added in Scotland, neither are in locations I would expect to see hotels and I was just wondering if you have any details such as the names for them?
| 62291847 | over 7 years ago | No problem - It's not a major concern as the difference is quite small. More just a general note that in this case I think that the original alignment was fine against the GPS and OS locator layers. Therefore I'm not sure the re-alignment was neccessary. In general the center point of several GPS tracks can be relied on as can the OS locator layer, and in this case they match up perfectly. https://screenshots.firefox.com/zNGZZbCusvvUtofs/www.openstreetmap.org Also note that the Bing and mapbox layers are often the same digiglobe satellite source so can't allways be fully relied upon. Cheers

over 7 years ago | Thanks Ganesh, in general I keep an eye on edits in Scotland and especially Edinburgh - I've seen a lot of service roads added that have been added now getting removed around Scotland. Ideally I would like to understand a bit more about how they were identified to be added and what sources were used, and where mistakes have been made(we've all done it) how they are being identified and remvoed. Then I can move the Amazon Logistics mappers to my trusted list and not worry about what they're doing.
over 7 years ago | I'm not totally sure if this has been totally succesfull. It looks to me like the mapbox satellite layer has an offset compared to the OS locator and the GPS traces that needs to be taken into account?
over 7 years ago | You added it, you deleted it, what is going on?
over 7 years ago | What is going on, you added and road and then later delete is?
over 7 years ago | What is going on here?
over 7 years ago | What's going on here, you created a road and then delted it a few days later. I want to be able to trust these Amazon Logistics edits but I can't really figure out what sources of data you are using or why thigns like adding a road and then deleting it later happen?
over 7 years ago | Hi - Thanks for signing up to OpenStreetMap! I see that requested a review of this edit. I've had a look, and the new restuarant looks great. My only comment which is fairly minor, is that ideally we would poisition the point in the middle of the building. Also if you are familiar with the building, is their actually a fish market or fish shop apart from Welch? In which case we can remove the top Fish Market shop POI. Also please let me know if you have any questions.
over 7 years ago | I've tried to put the turn restriction back in place - it should allow a left to Liberton Braw which then allows the turn into Blackford Gen road but not continuing further down Liberton Brae. Will check once the routers have updated....
over 7 years ago | Hi Moollac - welcome to OpenStreetMap and thanks for taking the time to sign up and make and edit. And appologies for all the questions, we like to try and confirm edits for new users especially for things like road name changes. Especially in this case, where it seems odd that if this change happened more than 9 months ago that Royal Mail wouldn't have updated their databases. Also the Falkirk Council Roads list still show this as Dickburn Crescent. Any change of getting a photo of the roadsign? If not we will try and confirm on the ground.

over 7 years ago | General question, - Is Stadium really part of the name. I've always heard it refereed to as Dens Park?
over 7 years ago | Brillian, thanks for this. I'm wondering if we need to looka t the the main name for the Island. At the moment it's down as "Gigha", but from what you've said "Isle of Gigha" is more correct?
over 7 years ago | The official plaque and all the signs say "Scotll Moument" The sign in the enterance reads "Welcome to the Scott Moument" - no real evidence of the name being anything other than "Scott Monument" - see https://photos.app.goo.gl/WDfoPb6x8dyaxytg6
| 60706224 | over 7 years ago | HI, welcome to OpenStreetMap, and thanks for taking time to edit. I do have a question about the change to Park. Normally Park would refer to open land, so unless the trees have been cutr down, then woods is probably a better tag. See leisure=park Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers

over 7 years ago | I think this is in the same category as the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty or the United Kingdom, where "the" is used although it's not part of the name. This page, seems to have a good description of the use of "the", https://www.ef.co.uk/english-resources/english-grammar/definite-article/ - "Use the with the names of famous buildings, works of art, museums, or monuments." So the is used with the name of the moument but isn't part of the name.
