Ça mériterait de demander sur la mailing list ce que les gens en pensent. Combien d’années de chantier pour considérer comme permanent? Car si on garde la géométrie précédente pré-construction, le routing ne fonctionnera pas jusqu’en 2025 minimum.

I think the cycleway:separation is the tag to use here instead of changing to track, but I will accept it. In the last month, they added concrete separations at some intersections so I guess it becomes like the REV which is mapped separately. So in the future I suggest mapping these separately like the REV. Would it be correct? I still think cycleway=track should be temporary and replaced by a separated way as soon as possible if there is a physical separation. It is like sidewalk=both;left;right, which should be replaced by sidewalk:both/left/right=separate with the sidewalks mapped separately as soon as someone has the time to do it.

This bicycle lane should be tagged as lane. A track would mean a physicial separation other than flex bollards and/or paint (and is usually mapped separately instead). There is already a cycleway:separation tag specifying that the cycleway is separated by a buffer. Thanks!

Why did you change the motorway highway tag to a gate? This breaks routing. What were you trying to do exactly? And please write useful changeset messages.

interior mapping in osm is still a pain, but thanks for adding data.

Can you add a source for these indoor corridors? They seem a bit random and not so precise, compared to what was already mapped. We should get a precise map of the airport to map these.

It is mapped as a mulitpolygon, since the motel has three associated building. This is usual to map associated building (same business) as multipolygons.

Only motorways and roads with specific pedestrian prohibited signs roads cannot be walked in Quebec. There is no such sign there.

This road is not prohibited for pedestrian. It is not pedestrian-friendly, but people can walk on the side of the road. Please revert.

There are clear X markings on the 10/28 runway, so no aircraft should land there anymore. I don't know the official status though, but it seems it will be converted officially to a taxiway sooner or later.

Researchers + cities and transit agencies employees. I am a researcher myself. We use the missing pedestrian and cycling paths to simulate routing for better accessibility using OSRM. We convert these ways to footways and cycleways so the routing engine can use them and then we can compare with existing network and send propositions to cities so they can choose which link should be built in priority. This has real effect on the ground and will even more in the future.

Please be advised that people use this for routing using OSRM to test for better accessibility. We are building a better solution, but it will take time. I hope we can keep them in the short term until we find a better way to host these informations. I've seen notes like this and even a lot of more personal one that doesn't add any useful information that were kept and didn't bother people. I don't see why ours are creating problems, since they are not rendered on tiles anyway. however, if you decide to delete them all, I will acept your decision without any complaint. However, some researchers and official will have their scripts fail.

St and Ste must be converted to Saint/Sainte on OpenStretMap (no abbreviation), even when appearing abbreviated on the signs. Please change them back to non-abbreviated forms. See osm.wiki/Abbreviations

These notes are not useless and are used by many of our partners (Ministry of transportation, transit agencies and cities). We are currently trying to build a repository of osm data with enhanced data layers but it will take a while and in the meantime, we wanted to include missing links to encourage them to build the sidewalks and cycleways. Sometimes only 10s of meters are missing.
