over 8 years ago | Visually, the line of T hangars at the west shows it was an aviation site (at the time of the images). Looks like it is a private site known variously as (Wickwar/Yate) Chase Farm (Airstrip), certainly in use 2009-2016 (see https://svmc.info/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/August-2016.pdf). The E-W run at the north of the field is large enough for microlights.
over 8 years ago | Thanks for the B road number update. However you seem to have joined the 3 ways that made up the roundabout even though they had different relations on them (bus routes). And the roundabout should not have secondary type as the B road stops, and does not run through. Please restore the roundabout as it was.
over 8 years ago | It's important to OSM for copyright reasons not to copy from Google maps. However the DigitalGlobe imagery is more recent than the Bing imagery at present in this area and shows some of the housing, and the OS Locator boxes can help with street names and alignments.
over 8 years ago | 1 backwards here, and look like turning loops. Not every closed loop is a roundabout.
over 8 years ago | 2 backwards here, and probably turning loops not roundabouts
over 8 years ago | another one set backwards for the country. there are also some missing one-way on entry exit roads you could have set, please fix.
over 8 years ago | This is in the wrong sense for the country, please fix.
over 8 years ago | Not all road loops are roundabouts, turning loops exist too. And you have made the only entrance/exit way one-way. Please fix this and be more careful.
over 8 years ago | You have set junction=roundabout and source=Bing when Bing (nor any other imagery I can see) shows a roundabout at all. This history of this way shows it was created with a comment (in Italian) which seems to translate as 'try inserting roundabout' which is not convincing. If it were real, you should have noted that it has oneway=-1 and reversed the sense. Please stop blindly adding junction=roundabout to any road loop you can see.
over 8 years ago | Do you know this is one-way? and a roundabout? If it is, you have left it backwards. Please stop blindly adding junction=roundabout to any road loop you can find.
over 8 years ago | Only a few of these are roundabouts, and a couple of these you left set in the wrong direction for the country. I have fixed the worst of these.
over 8 years ago | Do you know that the road along west side of the spanish square is one way - or any of this square? And did you see the history of the french road, with junction=roundabout and oneway being repeatedly added and deleted?
over 8 years ago | One circular way in USA set backwards, one car park outline? set as roundabout? Needs more care.
over 8 years ago | Do you know that this road loop is definitely one-way, a roundabout? And is it really in the reverse direction to normal for the country?
over 8 years ago | The change I made was to correct the text "Saintsbury's", please feel free to improve the map further.
over 8 years ago | Yes - was thinking of high priority road terminating at lower, this is the other way around - will go with primary, thanks.
over 8 years ago | If the error was a 'sudden highway type change' (osm.wiki/Osmose/issues#1090) or equivalent, then there was something to be done. With a couple of minor roads connecting to the roundabout, the roundabout can usefully be set as primary_link.
| 49154779 | over 8 years ago | This is a geographically huge changeset, not helpful to others trying to work out what you have done. Please use smaller changesets with specific comments on your intentions.
