This is the new depot for the courier firm DPD. They were previously based in a smaller building further north on Clifton Hall Rd. This big new building doesn't yet appear on the aerial photograph, so I have guessed its dimensions based on a visit there.

According to UK O.S. Maps there is a cairn (memorial) at this location. Whether it still exists and who or what it memorializes, I don't know. (It's not to be confused with the cairn to Willie McRae, which is a short distance to the north on this road).

Added the site of a memorial cairn to lawyer and SNP politician Willie McRae. I have some confusion over the spelling of his 2nd name - the plaque on the memorial has it as MacRae, while books and newspaper articles about the man spell it McRae.
