You're right, that's a residential. I checked roads connecting to it, they seem to be tagged correctly (though the path to the south could be connected to the road there; done).
I use "hwpi" as a temporary key when I create maps; if we could some when agree on a good tagging scheme for highways, this key could be removed again (and currently, it does not interfere with any other tagging schemes).

Hi Russ, there is a long line east of hw 201 without any tags - seems to be some Potlach glitch when duplicating the way of 201. But I am not sure:

That's a temporary tag for highways. The group of farangs mapping in Thailand still could not agree upon a reasonable highway tagging scheme resembling international highway tagging standards.

You added a "oneway=yes" tag to a long section of #211. Consequently, routing was broken there, see https://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?pid=780517#p780517
Why did you do so? A typo?

According to current imagery, this road leads thru the country side from Jn Makam Mahsuri south wards to a small village. Hence it is NOT a residential.
If you want to discuss the tagging scheme, you may use the forum at https://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewforum.php?id=60

Several of the buildings you added overlap with building added by another user, who edited at the same time. Please contact your supervisors to prevent such overlaps from happening again, and please co-ordinate the cleanup process.

Way ...851 overlaps nearby ways - that should not happen. Did the validator of your editor not complain about that?
Please take more care.

way/664724221 is not a building, it is a pond! Please be more careful!

also parts of way/561371845 are not a residential, but parts of that stream.

That "guest house" is not a guest house, but a building of Siam Cement Group. Thanks for leading me into nowhere land in the late evening hours on the search for a guest house...

Thanks for your info. I've just changed it, and also added driving_side=left/right tags between the border control points.

35011265 about 7 years ago

Somewhere at the border near Kenethao. one must change from drive-on-left to drive-on-right. way/377851369 seems to be made for that purpose. But somehow my impression is that the direction of this oneway road should be the other way round (also the corresponding counterpart): driving from Thailand over the bridge, we are on the left side. Now this winding oneway turns right, crosses the straight way in opposite direction, and joins the common road from the left, i.e. from a Lao point of view on the "wrong" side. Can you remember the situation there?

Something seems to have gone wrong: the name "Djcncjkf" does not make sense. Is that a transliteration problem?

56774982 almost 8 years ago

What are you doing? Why do you think that highway 20 is a track or a tertiary? Why did you change an "unclassified" to "service"?
Look at the map: it does not look sensible at all.

Thanks for finding and fixing that. Looks like I forgot to join the ways after creating the parallel way with JOSM (that large section was previously mapped as a "simple" highway, but it is already dual carriage). Strange that I did not see a warning regarding that problem in JOSM.
