Please don't abbreviate street names (including prefixes and suffixes). If data consumers want abbreviations in names, they can easily create the abbreviation algorithmically from the full words, however, computers really suck at trying to find expansions for abbreviations.

Is the bridge literally named "Cool Bridge"? If not, then the name=* tag isn't the right tag for that. description=* would be better in that case, though describing why it's cool would be ideal.

Any chance we could get some Mapillary imagery? I understand it's going to be an imposition for most people to do that given how remote the turnpike is. I'm just not convinced Wikipedia's not making a rounding error.

I wouldn't consider that necessarily a reliable source but a starting place for further research. Also a single-carriageway expressway would be highway=trunk, expressway=yes, oneway=no.

Does the ref actually continue past the last interchange?

I went ahead and tried fixing this up for you... took some searching along the road to find the compacted gravel section, and added asphalt as the surface to the paved parts. Made a multipolygon to create an outline for the picnic area.
