Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
The OSM database regarding this path is correct, the path does exist it is a Public Right of Way. If the path is overgrown or difficult to find a tag describing the problem could be added (note=overgrown and difficult to find or description=overgrown), but this information will not be rendered on a map.

Your best way to remedy a problem like this is to report it to the County Highway Authority, they have a duty to ensure PRoW's are fit for use. Here is a link to make a report:- https://tinyurl.com/3m7ubb8k

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreeMap.

I've removed the ford tag from the path (Way: 923154826) and tweaked all the building tags/outlines.

Meant to comment as connected paths to lock-gate

Hi, Thanks for responding to my changeset/111767089, please be aware that the maps and data on HM land Registry are Crown Copyright as is stated on their maps. Therefore using information from that site to map onto OSM breaches copyright and should not done. Quote "OSM contributors are reminded never to add data from any copyrighted sources (e.g. Google Maps or printed maps) without explicit permission from the copyright holders."
As all three of your changesets mention this source they should be reverted.

The fact that a feature on OSM is private is not a reason to delete it. OSM shows ground truth be it public or otherwise. In any case, virtually all land in the UK is owned in some way so could be called private.

You mention that the track I reinstated is a driveway, so it is by your statement a valid feature for including on OSM. It would be correct to amend the track tagging to show access=private or agricultural, (which will indicate there's no public access).

Thus I've reverted your changesets. The OSM database is back as it was with no infringement.

I hope you can understand the concern. Regards Bernard.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Your additions are great, however, you somehow deleted a track. I've reinstated that track so no harm done.

Can you please say what is the HMLR dataset or preferably link to it? Thanks.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

You added the opticians data to the whole building which I doubt is correct. I've placed the data on a POI.

Hedges amended

111702837 over 4 years ago

Please look at and respond to comments regarding hedges in previous changesets.

You are still drawing hedge barriers across field entrances. Joining hedges to highways. Tagging farmland areas with barrier=hedge. This is incorrect as stated before.

I've deleted some incorrect tags and sections of the hedge.

Hi, I've Squared up all the buildings. Joined some and unjoined others where appropriate.

If you zoom right in the buildings can be drawn with more accuracy. There's also an iD editor tool to square up features. (highlight/select the object/building, left-click on it, click on the square icon) the object is squared up.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

I've made quite a few amendments, to many to further elaborate on. Please read up some guides to help improve your mapping. Need any help please just ask.

Hi, You're still mapping hedges across tracks, gates and gaps, the imagery clearly shows this as incorrect. Mapping/tagging landuse (farmland) and barrier (hedge) on an area is not good practice because a hedge is not an area feature, a hedge is a linear feature.

You are also occasionally joining hedges to highways.

Could you please refrain from your above-mentioned practices?

I've made several corrections but made not have corrected everything.

Hi, I've inserted a building passage through/under the wall as this seems to be about how you describe it. Please have a look to see if it's OK.

Hi, There's a lot to learn in OSM.
As tagged the post-collection is seven days a week, probably incorrect. Please see:- collection_times=*

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

The school name and other tags are on the school premises outline as per OSM practice. Thus I've removed the POI as it's a duplication of data.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

I've removed the tags addr:housename=328 and name=328 Hawthorn Drive as they don't conform to OSM tagging practice. Neither tag is a house name.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Please always try to enhance the database rather than detract from it, for no good reason. It's not OSM practice to delete features because they are incomplete or for personal reasons/preferences.

No harm done though I've reverted the change. The house is one I added four years ago. I forget why but I might one day add the rest.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

You requested a review of your editing.

It looks like it's all fiction and duplication. OSM is a live worldwide database from which maps are compiled. Please only add genuine, accurate features which will mean you always have a perfect map.

Thus I've reverted these changes so no harm is done.

If you need help with mapping please just ask.

Regards Bernard,
