Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
This is a live worldwide database from which folk compile maps. When fiction or incorrect data is added it could seriously disrupt services (including emergency services).

There are places where personal or fictional data can be used to make maps and pokemon places. But OSM is not the place, even though pokemon uses OSM data/maps.

I think all of your added fiction has been removed from the several changesets up to this one. I hope you can understand the concern of OSM contributors.

Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
Your node has address tags but no actual parking or disabled parking tags. Please see here for help with parking tags :- amenity=parking

Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
It would be really good to show folk how they can enter onto this path. Thus folk who don't know the area can benefit more easily from the path.

No problem, I know there is a great deal to learn. I'm still learning after 8 years and thousands of contributions. If you need any specific help please just ask, there's also forums to ask questions

Nearly all tags have wiki pages describing their use.

Hi,
OSM data should, as far as is reasonably possible, be verifiable. The principle applies to tags and other aspects of data representation, and essentially means another mapper should be able to come to the same place and collect the same data ("verify" the data you have entered). This principle excludes hypothetical or opinionated data like ratings.

However in this case as it is an informal name used by locals you could use loc_name=Procter Footpath. name=*
Common practice says proper nouns (names) ought to use capital letters.

Sorry but the cycle track is in the area that you inadvertently described as description=park, leisure=park.
Sorry again I don't know what pedestrian area you refer to.

rename park and amend tags to play area

Retagged cycle track area. Remove several unneeded tags re a school path which is actually tagged correctly as a Rushmore Road, the way goes to the rec, not directly to the school.

Is the path formally and verifiably named "proctor footpath"? If so then the name should be capitalised.
Cafe details now placed on building outline.
Redo tags/spelling for day care center.

Hi, those areas are better described as playgrounds rather than parks. It is extremely doubtful that one is formally named"Small play area". I've made amendments accordingly.

Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
This is a live worldwide database from which maps are compiled for various purposes including emergency's. So I hope you can appreciate that adding fiction seriously affects OSM.

From the positioning and tagging of your contributions I suggest they are fiction so I will remove them for you.

There are other areas and means whereby personal or fiction can be added to your map. Including pokemon areas.

Regards Bernard.

Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
Unfortunately you've joined the gate to the boundary=administrative not to the track. therefore the gate is not a barrier to the track. You will have to zoom in close to see this.

Also I would have thought that general access allows agricultural but your access=no tag bars all access. I think there are gates at the other end as well.

If you need help please just ask.

Hello mountainmonkey,
You've somehow mapped a lot of these ways in duplicate, paths, tracks, fences and walls. Placing one way (path) directly and exactly on top of another (path).
Thus grossly bloating the database and confusing routers over paths and tracks.

I started removing some duplicate ways near Park Hill then realised that the number of duplication's is rather large. It might be easier to revert the changeset as I think the majority of ways are duplicated.

What do you think?

Hi Borbus. Re stream Way: 572794326 this is already mapped. Also sorry to say your duplicate flows uphill. It is a stream rather than a ditch, I'm told fed from a spring.
Would you like me to just amend any small anomalies I come across or let you know.

Is it possible to remedy this please?

Hi, you are undoubtedly correct and my comment is not directed against your information. The Way history shows you have inadvertently duplicated a section of the line. Please look at
Way: Truro - Newquay Railway (110024265), from Benny Halt to a point 800m south this line is duplicated. That makes three lines in total. In fact, the three lines crisscross over each other sometimes (it seems) randomly joining.

From 800m south of Benny Halt down to Newlyn Halt the two lines crisscross over each other sometimes (it seems) randomly joining. This was drawn by other folk but is still incorrect mapping.

The OS map 1937-61 shows only one line.
