Hello There,
JOSM is by far the best map editor, unfortunately, there's a great deal to learn to use it properly. So I've saved your route offline as a GPX file. This will open in a lot of map software. A good mapping application is GPSPrune ( from here:- https://activityworkshop.net/software/gpsprune/download.html ). I've tested your GPX file and it will open in GPSPrune.

So, where/how can I send you the GPX file? Once you've got it and are happy we can remove the lines from the OSM database.

Second thoughts,,, I've uploaded the GPX file here:- https://ufile.io/cq61bih2 You have 30 days to download it.

Please let me know if the all above is OK.

Regards Bernard.

I've sent an email via OSM so we can continue the conversation.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

I'm sorry to say that this is not the correct way to record routes in the OSM database. The lines added are mostly untagged; at best, some have a description in the name tag. In this manner, OSM nor any rendered map can use the data to produce a logical map.

I think you may be trying to record routes for your personal use. It's OK to do this but not to upload them to the OSM database. There are applications (like JOSM) that you can use to record your personal routes and save them to your own PC. Thus not corrupting the OSM data.

All these routes if not appropriately defined should be removed from the OSM database. I've not removed anything in order to give you a chance to save them to your PC.

Reverted back to a viaduct as are the other buildings.

Hi, I've placed the gate on the fence line rather than on all the path lines.

Hi, I've tweaked the tags a bit. It would be good if the actual site could be mapped. Need any help just ask.

Hi, OSM tags bunkers as surface=sand rather than natural, the sand is not a naturally occurring feature. I've tweaked the bunkers.

Hi, This looks very much like advertising. The point lacks in that it is situated in the street rather than at/in a building. The tags are far from OSM practice. The website and phone pertain to the agency not the premises.
Thus I've removed the node.

Hi, sorry to say you're making quite a lot of mistakes with your mapping of the golf courses. Please see here:- http://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=geometry&lon=-1.63510&lat=53.84251&zoom=13&baselayer=Geofabrik%20Standard&overlays=self_intersection_ways%2Cself_intersection_points%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_node_in_way
Many duplicated nodes and self-intersections of ways. Also, the bunkers should be surface=sand not natural=sand as the sand is not a natural feature here.

Could you please look to rectify these problems? Need any help just ask.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

You somehow duplicated this road placing a new highway atop of the existing one. I've removed the duplicate.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

I've tweaked the addresses to better the ability to find them on maps.

Lots of duplicated buildings removed, please be more careful of your mapping.

Also better to square up buildings.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Please see above the many warnings about crossing highways and waterways. In particular footpath way/1056587102, a 21km path that wanders across the countryside. This path self intersects and in a large part is placed on top of existing highways. Could you please look at rectifying these problems?

Need any help just ask, Regards Bernard.

Hi, The tag for these bunkers is surface=sand rather than natural=sand as the surface is not a naturally occurring feature.

On further inspection it is found that all your changes were duplications so I've removed them all. No harm done, please reflect on the advice above.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Unfortunately your new road is incorrectly tagged and is a duplicated line of four existing highways. Thus I've removed it.

Please take time to learn how to properly contribute to OSM, there's lots of help available.

Hi marczoutendijk, If I knew of better tags then I would certainly have used them. The area is paved and shingled and holds memorial tablets. Here is a picture of the area:- https://www.brecklandcrematorium.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/744A7406-scaled.jpg

I know it's tagged wrong could you suggest better tags please, as I would like to improve it. What can you suggest?

Thanks Bernard

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Unfortunately, there's not enough info to make this POI of much use to consumers, no proper name or address, and it's placed in the middle of a road. There are many B&Bs and hotels along this road. Thus I've removed it.
