| 110636213 | over 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. That was a temporary restriction last year. I've now removed the restriction as it's no longer relevant. Regards Bernard. |
| 91633349 | over 4 years ago | Hi, Just to let you know that you inadvertently remove the maxspeed=30 mph tag from Unthank Road. I've added back the maxspeed tag and added a driveway tag to the service road as that is a service road only serving the properties on it. Regards Bernard. |
| 110610784 | over 4 years ago | Hi, there's quite a few more need squaring up, zoom right in and you can be more accurate. Regards Bernard. |
| 110617064 | over 4 years ago | Hi Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I've removed your tag building:levels=0. A building must have some level? Regards Bernard. |
| 110566909 | over 4 years ago | Hi, Is the clothes shop Whistles still trading from the building? If the building is of more than one occupancy then the building address should be on the building outline. All other data (multiple businesses) should be on individual POI like Whistles is at the moment. I think you've made a mistake with building:levels=55, should it be 5 levels? Regards Bernard. |
| 110566909 | over 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I wonder is this your company office premises, or can the public visit you here?
Regards Bernard. |
| 110319240 | over 4 years ago | Hi, Postboxes are publicly accessible amenities. Are you sure these are post boxes? Or are they addresses of the houses? Regards Bernard. |
| 110122840 | over 4 years ago | No response to this comment so I've remove the name only POI. |
| 110393450 | over 4 years ago | Hi Ivan, No problem yes there's a lot to learn, and I know you meant well with your amendment. The width here is tagged as maxwidth=6'6" This means that any vehicle over 6'6" is prohibited by law. In practical terms, it means that any vehicle wider than for example a Toyota land cruiser, (which is a fraction under 6'6", 2m), is not allowed. Unfortunately most folk don't know the width of their vehicle myself included, so for the most part common sense must rule. This page:- osm.wiki/Proposed_features/Narrow_width gives advice and reasoning as to why not to use a narrow tag. There is no OSM tag for a sharp bend (or any bend). Note and description tags are not rendered but you can add one saying "Sharp bend at Swan Street into Tunn Street. Regards Bernard. |
| 110393450 | over 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I've reverted this changeset because the changes removed the status of a highway and cycleway. The way is part of two national cycle routes and is also an unclassified highway maintained as such by NCC highways authority. The way serves as access through and to property along the way. Yes you personally may have opinions of the access and OSM respects this. But OSM records the on-the-ground status, thus restrictions to the way have been properly tagged. With this individuals can decide the suitability of proceeding along the way. You would be welcome to add a note=? or description=? tag with your opinion. Regards Bernard. |
| 110352209 | over 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Requested review, with respect, the driveway was correctly tagged so could not have been accidentally taken for a right of way. I don't know the reason you removed it but it's not OSM practice to delete objects for personal reasons. If this is your own driveway, that you regard as private then please add the tag access=private. This will describe the highway as not accessible by any means. I've reinstated the way, if you need help please just ask. Regards Bernard. |
| 110308039 | over 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Just to let you know there's no need for data to be duplicated on a building and a POI. I've made minor amendments. Regards Bernard. |
| 110308644 | over 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Just to let you know, the address data you added is already mapped, it's in the addr:interpolation tag. Regards Bernard. |
| 110122840 | over 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Just adding a point to make it easier to find is not allowed in OSM. You should add and correctly tag something physical, on the ground, and verifiable. What is a post guard (pos jaga)? Could you please remove this point, tag it as per OSM practice (a name only is not enough), or covert it to a verifiable object? Need any help please just ask.

| 110139523 | over 4 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I wonder is it the short section of highway that's named St Peters Mews or the building? The name could be added. Secondly, it would be good to add the gate as that's a physical barrier to the highway. Need any help please just ask.

| 101072185 | over 4 years ago | Hi, you did actually add two new nodes and moved three other nodes belonging to that grass area, thus an edit to the way was recorded in this changeset.

| 101072185 | over 4 years ago | Hello There,
To try to answer your point though I didn't say you added a fictional name. I said I removed a fictional name, this was a courtesy to let you know of the change. I wish now that I hadn't said anything, you likely would not have noticed. I saw the name whilst casually looking through this changeset. There is, as I said a strip of grass, Way: 705546887 between two other grass areas. It was tagged landuse=grass, name=Verge, I removed the tag name=Verge. Please I don't want to get into any arguments as to the other points you've raised. May I just quote from OSM guidlines though "Verifiability is an important concept to OpenStreetMap. OSM data should, as far as is reasonably possible, be verifiable. This is a good practice guideline covering all mapping activity and a policy governing choices we make about which tags are used and gain acceptance, and other aspects of data representation. It essentially means another mapper should be able to come to the same place and collect the same data ("verify" the data you have entered)". Would you like to revert the change or would you like me to? Regards Bernard. |

| 110069514 | over 4 years ago | Hello Sebastion,
If you're thinking of more than just the occasional edit to OSM then I'd strongly suggest using the JOSM editor. It's the best there is. Drawing a terrace of houses is easy. Draw one overall shape (automatically squared up), open the terrace menu, choose number of units, the type, the street, how they are numbered. One-click all done. If you need any help please just ask me or on the forums, click my OSM name above to send a message if you wish. Regards Bernard. |
| 110037870 | over 4 years ago | Hi, I'm very sorry I did indeed try to look into this quite thoroughly but was only able to establish that Dougism was a fiction. Indeed often a quite crude if not rude fantasy. If you can show some form of verifiability as to the physical on the ground presence of the feature then I would indeed reconsider. The POI was in private farm grounds, only open one minute a week, all very suspicious. I welcome you to show me wrong and I'll apologise profusely. Regards Bernard. |
