Hi, Again really no need to delete things. Several amendments made.

Regards Bernard.

Hi,
There's no need to delete the buildings, it's OSM's best practice to correct or amend existing mapping if possible. Thus all mapping history is maintained. deleting also deletes history.

There's no need to repeat data on every object and add POIs. For schools, the main overall data is held on the premises outline. I've amended it to suit OSM practice.

Are the buildings 6 feet high and only 1 floor? I think this is inadvertently incorrect, please see previous comments.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Please see building:levels=* for advice on building levels tagging. I've removed those tags so you can for the correct levels.

Please see height=* for advice on building height tagging. Are the buildings 13metres (42 feet) high? I've removed those tags so you can for the correct height.

The whole area is tagged residential so tagging the building as building= residential is duplication. Better to tag as building=house. I've amended these tags. I also squared up the buildings, easily done in the iD editor.

There were two number 2 Aldwickbury Crescent, which I've amended.

I amended 82 Aldwickbury Crescent to 82 Crabtree Lane.

I amended seven addresses from Aldwickbury Crescent to Courtfields.

I removed building type tags as residential is implied.

If you need help please just ask.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

I've squared up the building, tweaked the address, and added your website. This to meet OSM practice and better show the enterprise.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Just some tweaks to your mapping, I tagged the building as building=house and removed names as they are likely not formally named as 2, 4, and 6 Sunderland Avenue.

Hello, I just now figured out what the problem is and have removed a flood gate from the highway, (which barred all routing). Then I saw your two notes. Had you responded here I could have fixed it earlier.

When MRA updates the data from OSM the route should work correctly, might be a few days though.

I now have to find out how to correctly map the flood gate.

Hi, I did do some tweaking there (mainly for the path and fence if I remember right), but I also noticed the track was strangely aligned. So I joined it up. I take on board your comments/suggestions and have now made three sections of the racecourse one goes over the road. Please see what you think.

Hi, I've removed the road that's been closed (doesn't exist anymore). You had inadvertently dragged on top of the existing highway without deleting it. I've also amended to route relation to show these changes.

Hi, The name of the disused/closed store was Debenhams hence the tag disused:name=Debenhams. The name was not "disused Debenhams building" so the tag you used, disused:name=disused Debenhams building, is incorrect. I've again corrected the tagging.

OpenStreetMap is not a business directory. If your online shopping store does not have a physical presence then it may not be added to OSM. If it does have a physical presence - for example, if there is an office somewhere - then you can place an office=company object where that office is.

If you add further tags then understand that these tags will describe that physical location, i.e. the office. Do not, for example, add a tag that implies 24/7 opening hours just because the web site is open 24/7 - only add such a tag if the office is open 24/7. Same with any tags that would describe what you are selling; do not add shop=clothes to a place where I cannot buy clothes.

Under no circumstances must you add advertising copy ("World's finest XY", "Premier ABC supplier", "For all your XYZ needs"); this has no place in OSM and will be deleted.

I've tagged the POI as an office for online business.

Features added to the OSM database must be verifiable to folk passing by. Thus I've converted the POI to an office.

Hi, The officially published Scottish Outdoor Access Code 2005 section 2-11 clearly states where access rights do not apply, link here:- https://tinyurl.com/e4fmxbkd. It's therefore quite clear where and how access rights are applied. This link:- https://tinyurl.com/sek6t37a gives a much simpler guidance to access around various properties.

Thus some of the ways (and/or parts of ways), you've tagged as access=private are certainly accessible under the access code.

Hi, In the absence of a capacity tag on a single parking space it is implied that the capacity is 1. Therefore it's not necessary to tag each single parking space with capacity=1.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

I think it's highly unlikely that the house is formally named "A". Has the house has been divided into flats with "A" being one of them, then the flat rather than the house has that name.

UK postcodes are made up of two parts, an outward and an inward part. There should be a space between the two parts of the code.

The address as you've added it is not quite correct so you could still experience problems.

On looking at the whole of the Corbenic Poetry Path route it would be good to add a route relation for it. Especially as the name is unlikely to be the formal name given to all those sections of path. Rather the name Corbenic Poetry Path would be the formal name given to the route. Again if you need help please just ask. Regards Bernard.

109221457 over 4 years ago

Hi, You've placed Way: Corbenic Poetry Path (614777421) on top of the existing Way: 970733275 thus making duplication of highways. I had previously moved the footpath into the woods as I thought that it's position. If the route does go up the service road from the car park then that existing highway ought to be amended. It's not correct mapping to place a highway atop of another.

If you need help with the amendment please just ask. Regards Bernard.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Your edit only added an untagged way on top of part of an existing highway. Thus it adds nothing to the OSM database, the line bearing no description is ignored. I've reverted the changeset.

I don't know exactly what problem you have but there seems to be nothing wrong with OSM data here. I take it that MRS is a routing app, perhaps there is some deficiency with the app. Could you explain more about the problem? Maybe I can help.

Welcome to OpenStreetMap

The premises should be tagged as disused by Debenhams. If a building is there please amend the tags to present use rather than delete the building. I've reinstated the building.
