Changeset When Comment

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

I've reverted your 3 change-sets as you had made inadvertent changes to a bus stop. Then made further changes to move it and or correct it. Bus stop names are usually taken from the Naptan database and might not reflect a common usage or logical name. If you're not suer best not to change bus stop data. All is back as it was.

I think possibly you were trying to map a riding stable. If you need any help please just ask.

Regards Bernard.

Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Unfortunately the residential area you added is within an already mapped residential area. Thus it is duplication and ought to be removed. As you've joined your area to several other features the changeset should be reverted, this to ensure the original history is kept. If you need help doing this please just ask.

I think it was your intention to add Clements Park as an area, this might be best done with a POI. Perhaps these tags would suit :- name=Clements Park
place=neighbourhood

Hi, I've no idea how the box is so large. I just removed two nodes (a self intersection on a stream).
When I look at the bounding box for that changeset it's a fraction of what is shown here.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

The first bus website makes no mention of this bus stop saying the nearest stop is round the corner on Sheffield Road.

Are you sure your information is correct?

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Just a few problems that you're obviously not aware of.

Please see this link :- shop=*
It should help you to better tag your shop.

The shop POI should not be part of the footpath, it should be a separate node.

The footpath name should be the formal name, not a description of it's function. Further to actually bo of use to OSM the path would be better if joined to the wider network of highways, (and be more precisely mapped). Can it be joined to a road thus showing how to get onto it?

Need any help please just ask.
Regards Bernard.

No response so the access=no tag is removed.

Hello, Do you know how the footpath Way: 54962293 crosses the stream Way: 738936662 both of which you've recently mapped. If there's a bridge or ford could you please add it?
Regards Bernard.

Hi,
I can see no evidence of solar panels in any imagery. Can you say how or where you have gained evidence for these panels.
You seem to infer from your tags that the feature might be a "possible" expansion site. If the panels are not present then the should not be mapped.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
I retagged the pool and added a few buildings.

Sorry the first line above should read "Your address data is in the middle of a highway."

Hi,
Your address data in in the

Using OSM to make Facebook look good is not what OSM is for, that is called mapping for the renderer. OSM contributors are not to do this, please see this page :- osm.wiki/Tagging_for_the_renderer

OSM is a factual database that must be verifiable by everyone. If there is not a feature/structure in the middle of the pedestrian highway then the incorrectly placed data should be removed. Or you could correctly map a feature with that data.

Hi, the node that holds the address data is part of the highway, a pedestrian street is a highway=pedestrian. Therefore you have incorrectly placed a features data (the cafe) on a part of a highway. Further it seems the feature does not yet exist, so it is incorrectly tagged anyway, (it is at best a proposed feature).

If the unit exists then it would be correct to map the unit tagging it as disused with the address as a proposed cafe.

The address data should be removed from the highway.

Can you point to where the disused is please?
Regards Bernard.

Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Sorry but putting the address of a feature not yet existing is incorrect especially placing in in the middle of a highway.

You could place a node (POI) at the approximate location and tag it as a proposed feature, preferably with a name and descriptive tags.

The address ought be removed from the highway. Need any help please just ask.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
The tower within the outline of the church should be tagged as a building:part, I've amended it to conform, also added a website. Then consolidated info from POI onto church outline, expanding the abbreviation.

Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

In the absence of oneway=yes OSM infers there is no oneway restriction. Hence no need to tag oneway=no in this circumstance.

Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Can you say how you are aware that this is a private road with no access please? Also how can this be verified as per OSM guidance :- osm.wiki/Verifiability

It looks like there is more than just private access for motor vehicles only.

Regards Bernard.

Hi Adam,

In that case I would remove the outline which is Way: MOVED - Royal National Nose, Throat and Ear Hospital (402058132)

Leaving Way: 28226427 as the only building outline because that is part of the university site relation.
Reinstate the building tag as it's still a building but also add the tag disused=yes. The name could also be reinstated and tagged disused:name=??? Lastly add note=ENT facility has moved to a new site. Thus folk will know whats happened and not remap the moved facility.

Need any help please just ask.
Regards Bernard.

Hi Adam, welcome to OpenStreetMap.

The new hospital site is OK as it's now tagged. It just takes a little while for it to be re-rendered. Sometimes it could be up to a few days (but not usually that long).

Is the old hospital building still present or has it been demolished? This determines how to now tag it.

Regards Bernard.
