| 74268540 | over 6 years ago | I've corrected the inadvertant changes you made to the parish boundary making into a track. Please be careful not to do this. |

|
| 73067157 | over 6 years ago | Do you mean no you will not correct them? Then they should be treated as fiction and removed. Please see highway=traffic_signals
|
| 74675693 | over 6 years ago | Hi Welcome to OpenStreetMap. The full name of the school is tagged on the school grounds outline as per OSM practice. Thus your added name is duplicated data so I've removed it.

| 74635404 | over 6 years ago | Hi,
This is to conform to the extensive practice established in OSM mapping and used in much of England and Wales. You could now use this as a template for further corrections. Regards Bernard. |
| 74574070 | over 6 years ago | Hi,
I've made a start by creating Relation: The Colchester Orbital East (10052112) . I've added the first two or three sections of the route by extricating the original ways from under your duplicate ways. Sectioning the original ways, adding them to the relation then removing the duplicated sections. Please see the route here :- relation/10052112#map=17/51.90544/0.90891&layers=N I'm using JOSM editor where the process is a bit tricky but it can be done with patience. With the iD editor it would be very difficult. I can carry on round the route if you wish? But it will take quite a while to do. Regards Bernard. |
| 74574070 | over 6 years ago | Thats OK I noticed the change near at the railway and though maybe you couldn't see the other (hidden) paths. Do you have any any map, description or website of the Orbital Route, maybe I can help out? Regards Bernard. |
| 74574070 | over 6 years ago | I've put layer=-1 on the tunnel. |
| 74574070 | over 6 years ago | Hi,
You may have to separate the ways to clearly see what has happened. This is partly the reason why you had 13 warnings of crossing ways when you uploaded this changeset. The warnings should always be looked at and corrected (unless they are false positives) before committing an upload. If in doubt don't upload, cancel your changes and try again. Sorry to point these things but it's a good way to learn. Regards Bernard.

| 74507869 | over 6 years ago | Hello, Please see my comment on your Changeset: 74474068
A lot of the paths you add are duplicates of existing ways. If a path needs amending please amend the existing way not draw a new way to duplicate it. PROW 127_26 is not a path name it is a reference number. Your Colchester Orbital West A route is not mapped as a route, a route should be mapped as a relation. In adding Way: Colchester Orbital West A route (724706845) you have actually in places triplicated a highway, (three ways in the same position. There are so many mistakes that I think you should stop editing for now and correct your mistakes. It might actually be best to revert all you many incorrect changes. Regards Bernard. PS If you need help please just ask. |
| 74474068 | over 6 years ago | Hello, I'm sorry to say that you have placed many of your new path section ontop of existing highways. Thus introducing duplications that will disrupt routing. Please see here :- http://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=routing&lon=0.92675&lat=51.88940&zoom=13&overlays=duplicated_edges
The correct way to map a route is with/via a route relation. Section up the existing ways and add them to a relation. There's plenty of help for this, search route relation. If I can help please just ask. Regards Bernard. |
| 74485329 | over 6 years ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.
|
| 74439816 | over 6 years ago | OK I'll try to explain. A polygon is a closed way encompassing an area, a single line that completely encloses a single area, starting and ending at the same node, the simplest form being a triangle. An area like this cannot be described as a multipolygon. There are several types of relation, a multipolygon is a type of relation. There are many forms of multipolygon described at osm.wiki/Multipolygon_Examples
If you go through the examples one by one the difference between simple forms to the most complex. Any specific questions please just ask. Regards Bernard. PS I have removed the multipolygon you created and tagged the area simply as a wood. |
| 74446670 | over 6 years ago | The river should not be tagged as layer=-1 a bridge should rather be tagged as layer=1 |
| 74439816 | over 6 years ago | Hi, a single polygon is not a multipolygon. Please see here :- osm.wiki/Multipolygon_Examples |
| 73561220 | over 6 years ago | Thanks, OK, the three duplications are removed. It's done in Changeset: 74452236 if it needs to be reverted. |
