Comments on your mapping so far. The tees, bunkers, fairway and club house do not need the tag leisure=golf_course as this tag is on the greater/overall course area.

The tees and bunkers could have a description of their surface, surface=grass, surface=sand.

If you need any help please just ask.

Hello, Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Firstly please look at this page :- leisure=golf_course which is a pretty good guide to tagging golf facilities.

Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap.

You've made a few mistakes most of which someone else has removed.

The lawn area (Way: 699291261) does no harm but then again on its own adds little to OSM. I don't think natural=grassland is quite right, it's not natural nor grassland, more a verge of surface grass.

Your node (the Avenue trees (6566603855)), this isn't a park, the address is wrong and the name seems fictitious.

Sorry to be so negative but I think it best to remove the above two features as they're not verifiable. If you could explain what you're trying to achieve maybe I can help.

Hi, it might be good to comment you deletions on the changeset you are amending, thus possibly avoiding the same mistakes recurring.

Hello, welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Just a few points, I've amended the dead end road to show the new layout.

You added the Garden House restaurant info to a bus stop and removed the bus stop tag. I've reversed this change.

The node: Broadland (6566470540) leisure=park you've placed on a driveway, obviously wrong, please see the Maxar imagery. There is a playground mapped nearby so I've removed this node.

I've also added a few details to some other POI. The iD editor doesn't have all available tags so sometimes it's best to research OSM tags to find the best descriptive tags, i.e. shop=car_repair instead of shop=yes.

Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Requested review, well the allotments were already mapped but lacking a name. I've put the name you supplied onto the existing mapped area. You tagged your feature as area=yes, this tag is not needed as OSM takes any polygon (enclosing outline) as an area.

Because the new outline was duplication of an existing area I've removed it. If you need any help please just ask.

Hi welcome to OpenStreetMap.

If the residence is still named Home Farm a better remedy would be t amend the tags. Add building=house, remove place=farm. Thus you keep all history and not remove anything from OSM. A note tag stating why the amendment is made would inform future mappers of the current situation, note=Amended because this is no longer a working farm.

Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

You've placed your water tower POI in the middle of a service road. This does not look correct especially as the area is for wastewater treatment. Could you check the validity and placement please?

Hi, It's not usual to map and tag a building then place a POI inside it stating the two features to be the same thing. Far better if mapping a building to place all tags on that single feature. Actually the two sets of tags differ slightly.

Also you've made two relations (on building and POI). The POI relation is duplicated info so should be removed.
The building relation contains route info so it's not pertinent to the building so should be removed. It is info pertinent to the hiking route though.

Hi, I see youv'e tagged the Bute Pilgrimage route Part 1 as width=0, that means being of zero width the way does not exist. I've removed several of these false tags as I believe the paths do exist and have a positive width.

I've also removed several duplicated sections of path. When amending or adding a way please don't place the new way atop an existing way. Rather amend/adjust/correct the existing way, this for several reasons.

If it is a private driveway amend the map to suit. I can't understand why you would want to delete it given your changeset comment.

71484446 over 6 years ago

Even a private driveway is eligible for adding to OSM. As actually any private feature.

71484446 over 6 years ago

There is a dropped kerb to allow access.

Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

The highway you removed is the way that serves for access to the rear of properties on Clare Road and Milton Avenue. It is therefore a service road. I wouldn't call it a driveway as it serves several properties. It is quite likely private as is almost all land in the UK including highways. If you think it's a private driveway the it might be appropriate to tag it as access=residents.

The way does have a physical presence as indicated on aerial imagery and OS maps. It is OK to map any verifiable feature to OSM. It would have been better to enquire of the original mapper as to the verifiability of the original data. Thus I have reverted your deletion to reinstate the way.

If there is any problem with what I've done or my presumptions are incorrect please respond by commenting here.

Hi, Please don't use fictitious names on the paths. Everything you add to the database must be factual and verifiable. Please see osm.wiki/Verifiability

I have removed several of the names but if this has been your practice could you please make sure they are all removed.

Regards Bernard.

Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Thanks for taking the time to join and contribute to the map.
I've amended your contribution to OSM to remove the old section of cycleway, your new way placed a highway atop an existing highway.

I circumstances like this it's best to amend/adjust existing ways thus keeping as much as possible of OSM's mapping history.

No response so I've changed the tag.

Hello, just wanted to say when you add a bridge to a highway please amend the tagging of the existing way rather than draw the new bridge atop of the existing way.

Hello and Welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Unfortunately you've drawn some of the new paths across mapped buildings. There are also instances of your paths joining buildings and area outlines. Sometimes drawing a path line atop and joined to an area outline.

There are many new paths so it's a great deal of work to check and correct. Could you please check an correct your new paths please?

It would also be a great benefit if any other mapping anomalies you find are also corrected.

Regards Bernard.

Hi thanks for your response. I'd just like to point out a couple of things. The way can't be oneway as drawn else how do you get in to come the oneway out?

Your tag access=residents eliminates the need for the tag service=Private_Access, should be removed. (OSM does not accept tag values with capital letters unless via a descriptive or name key).

Lastly the way should join onto the building outline at the entrance and the entrance be tagged appropriately, (gate maybe). Also this point is where the tunnel should start.

If you need any help please just ask. Regards Bernard.
