| 92877073 | about 5 years ago | Just to let you know, OpenStreetMap doesn't allow advertising copy in the description tag (we try to stick to objective facts), so I've removed it. Other than that, though, your edit looks good. Thanks for adding your business to the map! |
| 92555409 | about 5 years ago | I've gone ahead and added the tag for you. I also moved the point out of the parking lot outline, onto the actual building. If you want to add contact information or any other details, all you have to do now is open the editor, click your business, and edit the fields. |
| 92554524 | about 5 years ago | Please do not change street names to the names of businesses, or add advertising copy to OpenStreetMap (this applies to both the map itself and your user profile page). This changeset has been reverted. If you'd like to add your business to the map, you should place a point over your location, choose the type of business from the sidebar search, and then add the business's name and optionally address/contact info. If you have any questions, leave a comment below and I'd be glad to answer them. |
| 92555409 | about 5 years ago | Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap! Currently your business won't show up on any maps because you haven't added a tag to describe what kind of place it is. Am I correct in guessing you're a real estate agency? If so, just select your business, go to the sidebar in the editor, and search for "Real Estate Office." If you have any questions, just comment here and I'd be glad to answer them. Thanks for adding your business to OpenStreetMap! |
| 92498962 | about 5 years ago | Hello, thanks for adding your business to the map! I see that you've requested a review, so here it is :) You should add a tag stating what type of business this is. It looks like "office=advertising_agency" would fit: office=advertising_agency. (The "description" tag isn't enough for map software because it's free-form text). Also, there are fields for your business's contact information, if you'd like to add it. In the editor sidebar, just go to "Add field" and you can add phone number, website, etc. Everything else looks good. If you have further questions, I'd be glad to answer them--just reply to this changeset. Have a good day! |
| 92320902 | about 5 years ago | Hello, thanks for adding your business to OpenStreetMap! Just so you know, if you go to "Add Field" in the map editor (just above the Tags section), you can add more information, like your phone number or website. |
| 92157599 | about 5 years ago | Hello, welcome to OpenStreetMap! I've added a couple tags to this utility pole--"name" is only for the official name of a place, not the type. It's better to use a specific preset in the editor, in this case "Utility Pole". If you have any questions, or want to chat with other mappers, we have a Slack workspace at https://slack.openstreetmap.us/. Thanks for your contribution! |
| 92074677 | about 5 years ago | Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap! I noticed one small issue with your edit--the parking garage is tagged as a "Garage", but "Multilevel Parking Garage" is more suitable. Other than that, everything looks good! Just to let you know, we have a Slack channel at https://slack.openstreetmap.us/. It's a great place to ask questions or chat with other mappers, both new and experienced. Thanks for your contributions! |
| 91316002 | over 5 years ago | Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap! I see you've marked this as "Review requested." Your edits are mostly good, but one thing you should do is make sure roads are always connected--otherwise routing engines won't work properly. So, where the parking aisle exits onto the road, those ways should be connected (with a gray node in the iD editor). Also, why the building:levels=0 on the shelter? Unless the wiki says otherwise somewhere, I believe this would be 1 level even though it's just a roof. Other than those two points, your edits look great! If you have any questions or want to chat with other mappers, we have a Slack workspace you can join at https://slack.openstreetmap.us. Thanks for your contribution! |
| 91263894 | over 5 years ago | Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap! I've made a couple changes to your edits. First, I deleted the description tag--it was cut off at 255 letters, and since it was copied from the website it's potentially a copyright concern. I also merged the museum area with the point, and removed the building and layer tags. Other than that, your edit looks good! If you have any questions or would like to chat with other mappers, we have a Slack channel at https://slack.openstreetmap.us/. Thanks for your contribution! |
| 91230184 | over 5 years ago | Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap! Just to let you know, there's more fields you can add than just the default ones--if you go to "Add Field" underneath the address, you can add the church's phone number, website, service times, etc. if you'd like. Thanks for your contribution!

| 91247184 | over 5 years ago | What is the purpose of this edit? Why did you connect all these roads into one spot--is that an accident?

| 90883218 | over 5 years ago | Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap and thanks for your edit! FYI, the name tags here seem to be incorrect--"name" is for the official name of a building/place, not a generic description. The park office looks like it might be an `amenity=ranger_station` (amenity=ranger%20station). The other building ("Pavilion") can probably just be tagged `building=yes`. In both cases you can search in iD (the editor on openstreetmap.org) for the right preset. Another thing you can do is press Q to make sure your buildings have right angles. Other than that, your edit looks great! If you have any questions or want to chat with other mappers, we have a Slack channel at https://slack.openstreetmap.us/. Thanks again for your contribution!

| 90708702 | over 5 years ago | Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap! I see you marked this as "Review Requested." Your edits look mostly fine to me, although I'm not sure about the tracktype=grade1 tag you added--according to the wiki, grade2 would probably fit better for a gravel road. If you have any questions or just want to chat with other mappers, we have a Slack channel at https://slack.openstreetmap.us/ . Thanks for your contribution!

| 90550312 | over 5 years ago | Oops, that link should be https://slack.openstreetmap.us |
| 90550312 | over 5 years ago | We do welcome edits from business owners! However, there are a couple problems with your current changes. As TheAdventurer64 said, your business should be a separate point--here you've tagged the entire shopping center as your business (which doesn't help people find it within the building). We also don't permit advertising copy, including in the description tag--there's other places for that, but here we stick with objectively verifiable information. Finally, you should add a tag that explicitly describes what type of shop you have. In this case I'd assume 'shop=erotic' would fit. That's how you get a map icon, proper search results, etc. If you need help, just leave another comment here or reach out on https://osmus.slack.com. We'd love to help you get your business on the map and make sure it shows up properly.

| 89818453 | over 5 years ago | Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap! Your edits look good, except for the "name" tag on the node. "name" is only for the actual name of an object, not descriptions--for an unnamed intersection like this, it should be left out. If you haven't found the wiki yet, it's a great way to learn about all the different tags: osm.wiki/. OSM US also has a Slack group if you're interested in chatting with other mappers: https://osmus.slack.com Thanks for contributing!

| 88427368 | over 5 years ago | Hi, you marked the parking garage here as bicycle parking. Is this a mistake? |
