From https://maps.vtrans.vermont.gov/Maps/TownMapSeries/WINDSOR_Co/HARTFORD/HARTFORD_MILEAGE_2022.pdf it does look like the Town "discontinued" part of the road, which would revert that segment to "ownership=private". I don't have on-the-ground knowledge as to whether it is posted as "No trespassing" or other access restriction though.

Thanks for the quick turn-around!

Hi @scarapella, I just noticed the use of this little waterway=link way via the new map produced that shows the end-points of flows in waterways:
https://waterwaymap.org/ends/#map=18.2/46.763195/-69.305047

I've not seen the waterway=lnk tag used before, but if that is important to map I'd suggest flipping the direction of way/1236467015 so that it goes into the Allagash River instead of diverting the Allagash river's flow out.

Once again, please join the community conversation before changing place=* values at

The place=* tag is for the the importance of the community relative to its region, not for the incorporation status. Incorporation status can be placed in the border_type=* tag on the boundary relation for the municipality as is seen in this example: relation/170184#map=13/44.4938/-71.2237
