Para poder navegar en este sitio, me fue necesario ingresar al mismo mediante el link proporcionado en la clase, para luego registrarme mediante un nombre de usuario y contraseña. Una vez convertida en nuevo usuario, tuve la oportunidad de navegar por el mapa partiendo de mi ubicación en el momento, mi domicilio particular. La pagina me ofreció algunos tips referidos a la jerga que utiliza (editor, nodo, etiqueta, vías, preguntas) como también la invitación a iniciar una guía de edición sobre cuestiones técnica del etiquetado, donde además pude conocer algunas herramientas que ofrece. Gracias a ella pude editar el mapa, con la opción “Editar con iD”, ubicado en el Menú desplegable de Editar, en lo que refiere a un nodo como lo es el Monumento a Francisco de Aguirre, fundador de la Ciudad Madre de Ciudades, zona que fuera azotada por las inundaciones del Río Dulce, ocurrida en el año 1974, en la provincia de Santiago del Estero. Realicé el etiquetado correspondiente, y el link para acceder al mismo es node/4096537735 , como también efectúe la captura de pantalla correspondiente.

Hola a todas/os, luego de realizar la lectura de la clase me puse a navegar por OSM, el cual me resulto un poco complicado pero muy interesante. Empecé con la ubicación de mi casa, dos establecimientos educativos importante, en el cual en uno de ellos trabajo yo. I have recently begun using the MapFactor Navigator Free GPS app on my android tablet. This app uses the OSM program. However, when the GPS describes trip details, it uses a very confusing method of instructions through roundabouts. E.g. to access the Pacific Highway, northbound from the Graham Drive north roundabout at Sandy Beach, Australia, the GPS states: “Turn right onto Pacific Highway”, then “Turn left onto Pacific Highway”. The standard instruction would be “At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Pacific Highway”. (Note that traffic flows clockwise on roundabouts in Australia). Does this terminology originate from the OSM program? I don’t see any way to define a road as a “roundabout” in the editing section. How can the roundabout instructions be improved?

I hope to learn it well enough to have all the safe bicycle routes loaded on my android device during my 7 day bicycle tour in Denmark in a few months…am I on the right track here? Or are my expectations out of line to believe that I can get a 100 square mile area of map data onto my phone? I really have no idea what is reasonable…And once I have a some mapped area loaded on a device, will I then be able to see my real time location as I travel? Is this the right tool for that level of travel guidance? thanks.

Will be spending some more time updating the north field area due to the numerous construction projects starting up again.
